PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipath monochromator capable of attaining high performance with reduced movable parts, and an optical spectrum analyzer using the multipath monochromator. SOLUTION: The present invention improves the multipath monochromator diffracting measured light at least four times by the same diffraction grating to select a wavelength by the even-number-th diffracted light. The monochromator/analyzer is provided with the first reflecting means for reflecting the first diffraction light from the diffraction grating toward the diffraction grating, and the second reflecting means for reflecting the third diffraction light from the diffraction grating toward the diffraction grating, and is constituted to make a reflection angle for reflecting the diffraction light by the first reflecting means different from a reflection angle for reflecting the diffraction light by the second reflecting means.
