PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool mounting device for an air hammer facilitating the change of a tool. SOLUTION: This tool mounting device for the air hammer for reciprocating a piston inserted in a cylinder 3 to strike the tool 7 provided at the cylinder 3 is provided with a bush 8 provided to project from the cylinder 3 to insert the tool 7 therein, and a tool support member fitted to cover the bush 8 and tool 7 to mount the tool 7 to the bush 8. A chisel engaging part 7a is formed at the tool 7, and a bush engaging part 8a is formed at the bush 8. The tool support member 9 has constitutive members 9A and a fixing member 9B for combining the constitutive members 9A with each other to integrate them. A first engaging part 9c for putting an annular projection of the bush 8, and a second engaging part 9d put in the chisel engaging part 7a of the tool 7, are formed on the inner surface of the constitutive member 9A. The constitutive members 9A are formed in radially bisected shape of a cylinder.
