ENDOSCOPE

An endoscope body having a probe portion and an ocular portion which includes an elongate light guiding member having an axial cavity extending therethrough for containing a lens set. The axial cavity is lined with a layer of material which substantially prevents light from leaking into the axial cavit from the light guiding member. In one embodiment this layer of material is provided in the form of an elongate metal tube to which a light guiding member in the form of a light pipe is moulded directly.
