In certain example embodiments, the overcoat includ es a dual layer overcoat including a nitride inclusive layer which supports a zirconium oxide (ZrOx) layer. In certain example embodiments, the overcoat m ay be of chromium oxide, with or without such a nitride inclusive layer.
