PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to browse the printing preview of image data in a memory card attached to a printer on a host computer-side display device with high quality by reflecting an operation instruction from an operation panel provided by the printer in real time.

SOLUTION: An interruption event transferred from a printer 111 to a PC 101 is detected for every instruction of a preview button arranged on the operation panel 119 provided on the printer 111. According to the detected interruption event, image data read from the memory card attachable to the printer 11 and a printing set set through the operation panel 119 are acquired to control the printing preview display in which the printing set is reflected to the display device 109 of the PC 101 in real time and the update display of the printing preview display.
