<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a microlens base plate with a light shielding film by which a light shielding film is formed at an exact position with respect to a microlens. <P>SOLUTION: A lens forming base plate 148 where the microlenses 506 and 507 are formed is formed, and a resist layer 43 for patterning a light shielding film composed of photosensitive material is formed on one side 103 in the thickness direction of the base plate 148. Then, a resin layer 22 is irradiated with ultraviolet rays from the other side 102 in the thickness direction of the base plate 148, and the resist layer 43 is irradiated with processing light 201 transmitted through the microlenses 506 and 507, and consequently the state of the resist layer 43 is partially changed and a black matrix 40 is formed in accordance with the changed state thereof. Thus, the optical axes of the microlenses 506 and 507 are aligned with the center of an aperture 140 formed on the black matrix 40, whereby the alignment of the microlenses 506 and 507 with the black matrix 40 is unnecessitated, and also the black matrix 40 is accurately formed without causing deviation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
