PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in image quality as much as possible when performing a dark noise correcting process. SOLUTION: The imaging device having an image pick-up device for imaging an object image comprises first correcting means for correcting exposure image data acquired from the pick-up device by making the image pick-up device to a state of exposure base on non exposure image data acquired from the image pick-up device after making the image pick-up device to a non exposure state, second correcting means for correcting a first signal included in the exposed image data acquired by the image pick-up device by using a second signal included in the exposure image data, and controlling means for choosing whether the correction by the first correcting means is to be performed or the correction by the second correcting means is to be performed in relation to the exposure image data acquired by the image pick-up device in accordance with differences in imaging operations in the imaging device.
