PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user easily perform visual inspection of information displayed on a display part 300.

SOLUTION: A portable electronic device 10 is equipped with: an operation part 100 on which the user performs input for operating the portable electronic device 10; a display part 300 which displays information which should be presented to the user; and a rotation holding part which fixes an end part of the display part 300 in a direction approximately in parallel with the operation surface 110 of the operation part 100 and approximately 45°to vertical direction on the operation surface 110, which holds the display part 300 so as to allow the display part 300 rotate, around its end part as the center of rotation, in one direction from a position which overlaps the operation surface 110 of the operation part 100.
