LONGITUDINALLY STRETCHING METHOD OF FILM OR THE LIKE USING OVEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a longitudinally stretching method of a film or the like using an oven capable of also performing longitudinal stretching by one lateral stretching device. SOLUTION: The lateral stretching device 20 of the films or the like using the oven is constituted so that both end parts in the width direction of the film 24 are grasped by a large number of clips 23 moved in the traveling direction of the film 24 and the width of the film 24 is gradually increased up to a predetermined dimension as going toward the deep part of the oven 21 from the inlet side thereof. This lateral stretching device 20 is used and the film 24 is introduced into the oven 21 up to a preheating region L being a stretchable position from the inlet side thereof and released from the clips by a clip opening device 26 for releasing the gripping of the film 24 provided in the vicinity of a preheating region completing position before stretched longitudinally.
