PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a purifying efficiency of cleaner elements while enabling a sufficient flattening of an unpurifying chamber in an air cleaner for an engine of a two-wheeled motor vehicle. SOLUTION: The air cleaner is arranged between a front fork 1 and a main frame member 11 and partitions an inside of a cleaner case 75 into the unpurifying chamber 87 and a purifying chamber 88 with an element holder 78. In the air cleaner, the element holder 78 comprises a partition wall 78a for partitioning the unpurifying chamber 87 and the purifying chamber 88 from each other and a holding frame 78b that is formed at the central part of the partition wall 78a and protrudes at least at a side of the unpurifying chamber 87 to hold the cleaner elements 77. A couple of groove-shaped air guiding paths 89, 89 in communication with atmosphere is defined with both sidewalls of the holding frame 78b and internal walls of the unpurifying chamber 87. These air guiding paths 89, 89 are made to communicate with the cleaner elements 77 beyond both the sidewalls of the holding frame 78b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
