PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protein array having a protein fixed stably to a substrate and being stably maintained, without impairing a function/activity of protein. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing the protein array which supplies drops containing protein to a solid phase substrate and arrays a plurality of spots containing protein as a probe on the solid phase substrate, a method for supplying the drops includes (a) a process for discharging the drops to the solid phase substrate and (b) a process for suppressing dryness of the drops discharged to the substrate. A microarray cartridge is provided with a solid phase substrate for the array and a cover plate facing the substrate and slidably installed, and has a reaction chamber formed from the substrate and the cover plate.
