PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamping utensil which can easily clamp a bar-shape or linear member under a state that a tensile load is applied. SOLUTION: This clamping utensil 2 for keeping the bar-shape or linear member W which penetrates a bone has a clamp main body 23 in which the bar-shape or linear member W is inserted. The clamp main body 23 is equipped with a casing 24 in which a tapered hole section 243 is formed, a plurality of balls 255 which are housed in the tapered hole section 243, and an urging means 28 which brings respective balls 255 into contact with the internal surface of the tapered hole section 243 and urges the tapered hole section 243 in the diameter contracting direction. In this case, in the casing 24, the diameter of the tapered hole section 243 is gradually extended in the inserting direction of the bar-shape or linear member W. Then the bar-shape or linear member W is inserted, the bar-shape or linear member W is pinched by a plurality of the balls 255, and the bar-shape or linear member W is held and fixed.
