PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incandescent lamp whereby high light emitting performance can be obtained even when used in combination with a reflecting mirror, and uneven light distribution is restrained from being generated in any operating condition. SOLUTION: A first filament composed of a plurality of filament segments arranged in parallel on a common virtual plane and a second filament composed of a plurality of filament segments arranged in parallel on another common virtual plane in parallel with the above virtual plane are disposed face to face in the inside of an arc tube to form this incandescent lamp. The first filament has even filament segments, and the second filament has odd filament segments. The filaments segments composing the first filament and the filament segments composing the second filament are disposed at different positions on a plane of projection in the direction in parallel with the virtual plane where these filament segments are arranged in parallel.
