PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic relay having a stable relay characteristic, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic relay, a welded part 11a of a hinge spring 11 and a welding face 4a of a common terminal plate 4 are welded in a state that an extension part 11b of the hinge spring 11 and an outer side face 4b of the common terminal plate 4 are abutted and positioned, and that one end vertical to a rocking shaft of an armature 9 of the welded part 11a of the hinge spring 11 and a wall face 5b are abutted and positioned.
