摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup transport mechanism capable of preventing a toothed member meshing with a screw shaft from tooth-jumping with ease and inexpensiveness. SOLUTION: The optical pickup transport mechanism is provided with an optical pickup 10 mounted with an objective lens 11, a screw shaft 12 which has a spiral groove 12a and is rotated in both of the forward and backward directions by a DC motor 18 as a driving source, a leaf spring 14 supported by the optical pickup 10 in a cantilever form, and the synthetic resin toothed member 20 which is held by the free end part of the leaf spring 14 and is meshing the toothed part 20a with the spiral groove 12a. The transport mechanism is provided with stopper members 24, 25 positioned in the transport route of the leaf spring 14 (or toothed member 20) in the neighborhood of both end parts in the axial direction of the screw shaft 12, respectively, and thereby the leaf spring 14 (or the toothed member 20) transported exceeding a predetermined position is abutted to the stopper members 24, 25 for the positional restriction.
