HEAD CONTROL METHOD AND RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus and a head control method that enable alteration to an arbitrary track pitch after servo information is written once at equal track intervals. SOLUTION: A head control method controls the movement of a head on a disk like recording medium. The disk like recording medium has position information recorded at equal intervals in the radial direction and is divided into a plurality of zones, and the position information is demodulated by using coefficients set by the zones.
