PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a two-wire system transmitter for surely maintaining the current consumption of a CPU to a burnout value by surely stopping the operation of the CPU when the abnormality of the CPU is detected. SOLUTION: This two-wire system transmitter is provided with an output part which inputs the processing output of a CPU, and converts it into a current output signal and a warning device which monitors the abnormality of the CPU, and generates an operation signal to burn out the current output signal at the time of detecting abnormality. This two-wire system transmitter is provided with a first changeover switch means for switching input to the output part from the processing output of the CPU to burn out setting output according to an operation signal, a second changeover switch means for switching the clock frequency of the CPU to a frequency lower than a regular frequency according to the operation signal and a forced reset signal for forcedly resetting the CPU in the generation period of the operation signal.
