PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a discharging state to secure luminance when dividing electrodes into a plurality of areas to sequentially perform address discharge in a plasma display device. SOLUTION: A plasma display device has a plasma display panel 12 and a plurality of scan pulse ICs 22-1 to 22-4, and the plasma display panel 12 has a plurality of scanning electrodes, a plurality of sustaining electrodes arranged in parallel with the scanning electrodes, and a plurality of data electrodes orthogonal to the scanning electrodes and the sustaining electrodes, and the scanning electrodes are divided into a plurality of groups, and the scan pulse ICs 22-1 to 22-4 are provided for the groups respectively and sequentially apply scan pulses to the scanning electrodes. On the basis of the scan pulse applied to scanning electrodes included in an arbitrary group, a control signal of the scan pulse IC of another group to which the scan pulse will be next outputted is obtained.
