PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously record a large number of holographic data on the same part of a recording medium. SOLUTION: In a holographic recording apparatus 10, each of a reference optical system 18 and an object optical system 16 is branched in parallel into a plurality of systems, the branched object optical systems 22A-22E are provided with respective spatial optical modulators 28A-28E, their optical paths are made mutually different, and the branched reference optical systems 34A-34E are set so that light from the systems are made to interfere with polarized light from the branched object optical systems 22A-22E, whereby a large number of holographic data are almost simultaneously recorded on the same part of a holographic recording medium 20.
