PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical spectrum analyzer capable of detecting a peak accurately and easily. SOLUTION: This analyzer is provided by improving an optical spectrum analyzer for analyzing a spectrum comprising a wavelength versus a level. The analyzer is provided with the first storage part for preserving a spectrum acquired by measuring the first light to be measured, the second storage part for preserving a spectrum acquired by measuring the second light to be measured, an offset value storage part for preserving an offset value, a threshold operation part for determining a threshold from the offset value in the offset value storage part and the spectrum in the first storage part, and a peak detection part for detecting the peak of the spectrum in the second storage part from the threshold determined by the threshold operation part.
