PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feed roller capable of certainly feeding a sheet having a specified thickness in such a way as gripped with a large force, and a manufacturing device for the sheet feed roller. SOLUTION: The sheet feed roller 1 is equipped with a roller part 2 made of metal and having a columnar outside shape and a plurality of projections 4 formed by raising part of the peripheral surface of the roller part 2, wherein the sheet 11 having the specified thickness is feedable by allowing the projections 4 to bite in and rotating the roller part 2, and each projection 4 has raised faces 5a and 6a formed so that the angle to the tangent C to the peripheral surface of the roller part 2 is a right angle or an acute angle.
