PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire in which the durability of the bead portion is raised with excellent productivity. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a carcass extending from the tread unit to the side wall unit, and further to the bead core of the bead unit. This carcass comprises at least one carcass ply, equipped with a main carcass body extending from the tread portion to the side wall unit, and further to the bead core, the first rolled-up unit aligned with the main carcass body, and folded near the bead core and eventually extending in the direction of the outer side of the tire radius and the first rolled-down unit folded at the external end of the first rolled up unit and eventually extending toward the inner side of the tire radius, a bead apex extending from the bead core to the outer side of the tire diameter and installed between the main carcass body and the first rolled up unit. The external end of the first rolled-up unit is installed at a position 3 to 18 mm distant from the external end of the bead apex in the direction of the outer side of the tire radius.
