<p>A tool for cutting preferably an elongated body such as electric cable (5), lead, wire, line or the like, where the tool comprises: - a scissors device (1) comprising two scissors halves (2, 3) which are hinged together so that each scissors half has two free ends where the first end (3a, 3b) is equipped with cutting surfaces. The two scissors halves (2, 3) can be rotated about the hinge point (5) and thus moved between an open position where the scissors halves' cutting surfaces are moved away from each other and a closed cutting position where the scissors halves' (2, 3) cutting surfaces are moved towards each other. The tool is characterised in that - an actuator (2) which is connected to the scissors device (1) is activated by means of detonation of an explosive charge (17) where initiation of the explosion is carried out by remote control, and moreover that the explosion causes the scissors halves' (2, 3) cutting surfaces to be moved towards each other.</p> |
