<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the responder of a communication system for suppressing low-order harmonic components included in reflection waves and preventing interference from being given to the signals of other responders. <P>SOLUTION: The responder comprises: an antenna 71 for receiving a query wave; a sub-carrier oscillator 52 for generating sub-carriers; and a sub-carrier modulator 54 for generating a modulation signal, where the sub-carriers are modulated according to a specified information signal 53. The responder also has a modem 70 for modulating a query wave by a correction modulation signal where one or a plurality of correction signals for suppressing harmonic components included in the modulation signal are synthesized to a modulation signal, for returning the modulated reflection wave from the antenna 71 to an interrogator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
