<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forged cavity back club and an oversize club improved in durability and workability. <P>SOLUTION: This forged club is provided with a thin, durable hitting face and relatively large cavity volume. The club has high rotational moment of inertia to minimize flying distance and accuracy penalties associated with off-center hits. A long iron with the hitting face of about 0.100 inch thick is achievable. Stainless steel is annealed after forged to achieve desired hardness and ductility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
