PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring a camber angle of an optical recording medium, capable of measuring the camber angle accompanying the sudden environmental change of a temperature, a humidity or the like of an optical disk or a cartridge for the optical disk within a short period of time, and a method thereof. SOLUTION: The camber angle measuring device 10 of the optical medium is provided with a constant temperature bath 22 for housing an optical recording medium 20 prepared by loading an optical disk 16 as an object to be measured in a cartridge 18 and adjusting the surrounding area of the optical recording medium 20 to predetermined environmental conditions, a laser oscillator 24 for oscillating a laser beam and irradiating the optical disk 16 with the laser beam, and a photodetector 26 for receiving the laser beam reflected on the optical disk 16 to detect the angle of a reflection optical path L2 relative to the irradiation optical path L1 of the laser beam.
