摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which a conventional TAB type liquid crystal display increases in manufacture cost and decreases in yield since the liquid crystal display requires at least a TCP 3, a circuit board 6, and a cable 7 for input as components in addition to a liquid crystal cell 1 and therefore the number of components increases and the number of connections of them also increases to require a plurality of manufacturing processes and increase the man-hour. SOLUTION: Not only a semiconductor chip for liquid crystal driving, but also all or some of other electronic components needed for a driving circuit for liquid crystal or control circuit for liquid crystal display are provided on the circuit board, whose output terminal is connected directly to a liquid crystal cell. Input terminals of the circuit board are connected directly to terminals of a main body substrate of electronic equipment mounted on a liquid crystal display through a flexible cable connected to the circuit board or through an anisotropic conductive film or by soldernig etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
