PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material having workability not demonstrated heretofore as a roof material and having a waterproof function, heat insulation function, dew-proofing function, and the like. SOLUTION: The roof material A comprises, in the tip end of the upstream side of a decoration face 4, a cutoff piece 13 projected upward, a cutoff piece 14 projected to the downstream side of the waterproof piece 13, a lower piece 16 in which the tip end of the cutoff piece 14 is folded to the upstream side, and an upper piece 18 in which the tip end of the lower piece 16 is folded to the downstream side and projected to the downstream side than the waterproof piece 13, and further comprises, in the tip end of the downstream side of the decoration face 4, a stepped decorative face 6 suspended downward, the deepest piece 8 projected downward at the vicinity of the front end of the decolation face 4, and an insertion piece 9 of the tip end of the deepest piece 8, projected to the downstream side. When the cutoff piece 14 is connected, the piece 14 becomes always in contact with the rear face in the vicinity of the downstream end of the decorative face, and the tip end of the piece 14 is fitted in the inside of the stepped decorative face 6.
