PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile tip member easily manufacturable at a rather low cost and capable of providing sufficient ground supporting force. SOLUTION: This tip member 10 comprises a circular and flat closed plate part 12 fully closing the lower end opening of a steel pipe 20 and an excavating blade part 14 extended from the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 20 between the lower end and a position near the lower end of the steel pipe. The closed plate part 12 is formed integrally with the excavating blade part 14. The closed plate part 12 is welded, at its peripheral edge, to the end edge of the steel pipe 20, and the excavating blade part 14 is welded, at its inner peripheral edge, to the outer peripheral surface of the steel pipe 20 to fix the tip member 10 to the steel pipe 20.
