PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device, achieving good responsiveness and stable braking control by correcting clearance fluctuation due to lateral acceleration with position control. SOLUTION: The brake control device comprises a lateral acceleration detecting means for detecting the lateral acceleration of a vehicle and a position control means for displacing a brake pad to a brake disc to make a clearance smaller than a preset clearance when the lateral acceleration is detected.
