<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor driving device that satisfies the requirements of large thrust force at the time of acceleration and deceleration and small thrust force/low speed ripples/low thrust force ripples at constant speed times. <P>SOLUTION: This linear motor driving device, structured with a linear motor 2 and a driver 1 that supplies a drive current, comprises a PWM amplifier; a linear amplifier; an analog switch 17 that changes over these amplifiers; a switch portion 18 that changes over the connection between the middle point of the linear motor and the intermediate potential of a PN power supply, inside the driver, and with two kinds of winding connection paths for large thrust force 21 and small thrust force 22 inside the linear motor, to change over the combination of the linear motor winding with the amplifier suitable for large thrust force and that of the linear motor winding with the amplifier suitable for small thrust force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
