<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air mat allowed to change a width in the lateral direction of the mat and having a slip off prevention function. <P>SOLUTION: The air mat comprises a main air mat 11 on which a patient lies and side air mats 5 and 6 located on both sides of the main air mat and detachably connected therewith. The side air mat includes plural thin air cells in the same direction of the longitudinal direction of the main air mat. The plural air cells comprise a first side air mat 11 located at the lower bottom of the main air mat and a second air mat 12 located at the side of the main air mat.
