MOIRE ELIMINATING METHOD FOR FLAT DISPLAY INSPECTION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moire eliminating method for a flat display inspection apparatus for reducing the processing time to solve a problem caused by many numbers of capturing times by a CCD camera, resulting in taking much processing time. SOLUTION: The exposure of the CCD camera at a start position 41 is opened to start capturing of a display image on a display screen and an XZ stage is driven in horizontal and vertical directions simultaneously to move the CCD camera obliquely along the display screen. When the CCD camera reaches an end position 42, the exposure is closed and the driving of the XZ stage is stopped to terminate the acquisition of the display image (S1). Thus, while the CCD camera 21 is obliquely moved, the CCD camera acquires the display image on the display screen. The moving amount of the CCD camera 31 by the XZ stage depends on the number of dots determining the resolution of the flat display and the CCD camera is driven in a lateral direction by 51 lateral dot pitches and in a longitudinal direction by 52 longitudinal dot pitches at the same time.
