PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus provided with a plurality of image read sensors each having a structure advantageous to miniaturization at a low cost. SOLUTION: The image reading apparatus 10 is provided with a plurality of the image read sensors 21, 31, 41 and a CIS apparatus control chip 50 for controlling the image read sensors 21, 31, 41. The CIS apparatus control chip 50 is provided with a trigger generating circuit 54, a lamp control circuit 55, and a motor control circuit 56 for controlling read operations of the image read sensors 21, 31, 41. Further, the CIS apparatus control chip 50 is provided with a plurality of input terminals 51a to 51c provided respectively to the image read sensors 21, 31, 41 and an AFE 51 being a gain / offset adjustment circuit for adjusting the gain and the offset of analog line data sent from the image read sensors 21, 31, 41.
