PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition by compounding a polyethylene terephthalate-based resin with a surface-treated functional inorganic filler to improve particularly the mechanical properties of the composition. SOLUTION: The polyethylene terephthalate-based resin composition is obtained by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a polyethylene terephthalate-based resin with 10-30 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler surface-treated with 0.5-3.0 wt.% of an alkoxysilane having in the molecule at least one phenyl group, e.g. phenyltriethoxysilane. Since it is supposed that the alkoxysilane as the surface treatment agent is firmly bound to the inorganic filler and highly compatible with the polyethylene terephthalate-based resin as well, this composition is markedly improved in physical properties.
