The retracting mechanism of a rear pushbutton actuated ball-point pen includes a guide pin 13 mounted on a resilient tongue 7 which is fixed by an arresting pin 3 relative to the pen barrel 1, which guide pin 13 co-operates with a heart-shaped cam (a), b, c, (d), (Fig. 2) formed in a flat surface (40) of the push-button 2, non- rotatable in the pen barrel by a key 5 and keyway 6. The lower end of a helical spring 9 and the lower end of a further resilient tongue 8 connected therewith are supported upon a ring member 11, which in turn is seated upon a shoulder 51 in the pen barrel, a key 4 in key-way 6 preventing rotation thereof. The pushbutton 2, the helical spring 9, ring 11, and the two resilient tongues 7 and 8 may be formed as an integral element. |
