<p>The present invention relates to a coated chewing gum comprising a core of chewing gum and a coating, wherein said coating comprises a coating material and one or more active substance(s), said active substance(s) being in the form of a powder when applied to the coating. The present invention additionally includes a method of preparing the coated chewing gum. More particularly, the present invention relates to the active substance(s) such as oral care agents, antiseptic agents, a cooling agents, flavour enhancers, high potent sweeteners and enzymes. The invention furthermore relates to use of the active substance(s) in the coating of a coated chewing gum, e.g. to provide a fast onset of the effect, a better stability of the active substance, and an increased effect thereof in all chewing phases.</p> |
