<p>A simplified method is provided for controlling a motor (72, 72') of a bicycle component, especially a power assisting apparatus (30) for a derailleur (22) or a suspension (12'). The method of controlling a motor (72, 72') of a bicycle assembly, basically comprising the steps of supplying current to the motor (72, 72') to move a bicycle component between a first position and a second position, and monitoring current flow to the motor (72, 72') during movement of the bicycle component. The stopping flow of current to the motor (72, 72') upon detection of an overcurrent to the motor due to the bicycle component reaches one of the first and second positions after being driven from the other of the first and second positions. <IMAGE></p> |
