<p>A hinge structure for a vehicle door 11 comprises two hinges 22, 16 and a link 14 between them, the hinge 22 being supported, preferably by a vehicle (not shown), and the hinge 16 being fixed, preferably to the door 11 of the vehicle, the hinge structure being arranged so that the door, and the link 14 moving with the door, initially pivot about hinge 22 and, after predetermined motion (figure 4), the door then pivots about hinge 16 to open (figure 5).
