A panel fixing structure of a passenger conveyor is provided to enhance the assembling performance and to shorten working hours. A panel fixing structure of a passenger conveyor comprises a step on which passengers get on; panels(14) installed to the sides of the step; guides(24) for constituting a path along the periphery of the panels; handrails combined to the guides; and handrail frames(22) supporting the guides and shielding a part of the upper parts of the panels. The step rotates along a predetermined path. The handrails rotate. The panel fixing structure of the passenger conveyor comprises molds(40) attached to the ends of the handrail frames opposed to the panels; panel-pressing units(49) for pressing the panels toward the molds; and deformation-preventing members attached to the surfaces of the panels coming in contact with the panel-pressing members.
