<p>For each class (16, 18, 20) of the class hierarchy, a table (28,30,32) is formed in which instances of the class with the attributes (22,24,26) of the classes allocated to be stored in memory, are recorded as individual data sets (38,40,42,44,46,48). A view-generation rule is recorded for each class recorded in the class hierarchy. A view associated with this rule contains all instances of allocated classes and all instances of classes derived from it as data sets. Data sets of the view combine to form to a class of data sets of the tables of these classes, as well as from the data sets of the tables or views of the classes derived directly from these classes. An independent claim is included for a data storage medium storing a computer-executable program.</p> |
