UV lamp assembly and use thereof

The high-pressure mercury ultraviolet sun tan lamp (1e) is arranged with its axis vertical. The lamp is surrounded with a conical or parabolic reflector (3). There is a flat optical filter (4) in front of the lamp, held in place by straps (8). A neck (3a) at the base of the reflector fits into a clamping socket (2) with a ring (3d) and a bayonet lock. A spring (5a) may hold the bayonet lock in place. Flexible conductors (11) connect the socket at the base of the lamp to a plug and socket arrangement.
