<p>First and second drive control systems (10, 20) include a bus interface (17, 27), controller (11, 21) and actuator (12, 22) each controlling an electrical drive (15, 25). To transmit the respective signals, lines (A, B, C), capable of carrying drive current, are provided between each actuator and the associated drive. A suitable digital data bus (80) transmits desired values and measured values, preferably also other control signals and parameters, and is designated as the motion bus, to which drive interfaces are connected for signal transmission in accordance with the relevant protocol. Interfaces and controllers are coupled to the bus to transmit measured values from at least the drive allocated via the drive lines (AB), to the associated drive control regulator (10, 20) via at least two bus interfaces (16, 17, 26, 27).
