The invention relates to a savoury composite food product having a dough-based part and a filling. The product has a high nutritional value and can be stored chilled or refrigerated for a period of 45 days. It exhibits substantially the same freshness and organoleptic qualities during the storage period. The composite product has a dough-based part being a savoury sponge with a Aw in the range from about 0.72 to 0.93, and the filling being a savoury cream with an Aw in the range from about 0.85 to 0.93. |
