TDMA radio terminal capable of adjusting transmit timing by using measured delay time

A radio terminal comprises an antenna for receiving a reception band signal and outputting a transmission band signal, a duplexer which is coupled with the antenna to use the antenna both for transmission of the transmission band signal and reception of the reception band signal, a transmitter section for converting a transmission signal into the transmission band signal,and outputting the transmission band signal to the antenna through the duplexer, and a receiver section for converting the reception band signal transmitted from the antenna through the duplexer into a demodulated signal. The radio terminal further comprises a reference signal generating section for generating a reference signal, a selector for providing the transmitter section with the reference signal in a first time to transmit the reference signal through the transmitter section, the duplexer and the receiver section and providing the transmitter section with the transmission signal in a second time after the first time, and a delay time measuring section for measuring a total internal delay time from the generation of the reference signal to the returning of the reference signal to the receiver section to adjust a transmit timing of the transmission band signal transmitted from the antenna in accordance with the total internal delay time.
