POLARIZING FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE POLARIZING FILM, POLARIZER, AND OPTICAL LAMINATE

A method for manufacturing a polarization film, a method for manufacturing a polarization plate and a method for manufacturing an optical laminated body are provided to improve effect of a complementary color by sequentially dipping a polyvinyl alcohol film into different aqueous solutions containing boric acid. An aqueous solution is a first aqueous solution containing 3-10 parts by weight of boric acid and 1-20 parts by weight of iodide with respect to 100 parts by weight of water at 50-70°C, and a second aqueous solution containing 1-5 parts by weight of the boric acid and 3-30 parts by weight of the iodide with respect to 100 parts by weight of the water at 10-45°C. Iodine is absorbed and oriented on a polyvinyl alcohol film. The polyvinyl alcohol film is sequentially treated with the first and second aqueous solutions.
