<p>The procedure allows manipulation of data in a multi-dimensional database. The request for extraction of data is executed within the database, and the resulting data is memorized within a local database (12) in the form of a block of elementary data. The data is then displayed in a spreadsheet (13). The procedure allows manipulation of data in a multi-dimensional database. within which the data is organized in several dimensions. The procedure includes generating a request for extraction of data with respect to selection criteria introduced by a user, with the request carrying at least one of the dimensions of the multi-dimensional database. The request is then executed within the database, in order to receive the data corresponding to the selection criteria. The resulting data is memorized within a local database (12) in the form of a block of elementary data. The data is then inserted into the cells of the table forming a spreadsheet (13). A display formula is used to control the display of information, the formula pointing to data which is held within the local database.</p> |
