Device for supplying lubricant to cutting tools

The oil-pressurized-air lubricating system uses medium-viscosity cutting oil with a viscosity of 10 to 50 mm2/s. The oil is supplied from a tank (1) with a spring-loaded (2) piston (3). Oil flows from the tank space (3b) via a line (6) to a 3/2-way valve (V2). An inlet (4) at the bottom of the tank admits compressed air into the space (3a) containing the spring. There are supplies of compressed air and oil at a pressure of 2.5 bar or more. A system of control throttles supplies a mixture of oil and compressed air to the cutting tool.
