A particulate material removal device and a diesel vehicle with the particulate material removal device are provided to easily regenerate a filter, meshes of which are choked up, at low cost. A particulate material removal device(1) comprises an outer pipe(4) having openings to an inlet side and an outlet side of gas(3), and a filter(5) received in the outer pipe to capture particulate materials in inflow gas and to burn and remove the particulate materials. The outer pipe is assembled to a passage(2) of gas, and the filter constitutes an inner pipe(8). A gap between the inner pipe and the outer pipe functions as an emergency bypass passage(K) of gas when the inner pressure of the inner pipe is suddenly increased. A safety valve, making gas flow to the emergency bypass passage when the inner pressure of the inner pipe is suddenly increased, is formed to the inner pipe.
