Textile fibre materials (I) are bonded together at overlapping regions with an adhesive comprising a film of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (II) placed between the material to be bonded at those regions, adhesion being effected by heating the film to such a temp. that it comes into intimate contact with the materials to be bonded by melt-flow, the heat source then being removed. (II) has a melt index below 50 and is essentially free from acetate gps. |
